Short description of the Mid Nordic Art Festival

The Mid Nordic Art Festival has existed since 1997
The festival is a mix of weeklong art and craft workshops, art happenings, tours, concerts, lectures and other bigger or smaller events varying from year to year.
The week long workshops take place at Sund Folk College, who is also the organiser of the festival.
Sund Folk College is in Inderøy council in Nord-Trøndelag County.

Location
Sund Folk College can be found at walking distance from the idyllic village Straumen, which is a stop on “The Golden Route”.
In Straumen you can find Nils Aas Kunstverksted, a museum for the recent artist NIls Aas. You will also find Jostu and Klokkarstu; which are gift and clothes shops, the Internet café, Marens bakery and Rødbrygga Restaurant and Pub
There are also grocery stores in Straumen; Coop Prix and Ica, as well as a pharmacy
Arriving
The centre of Inderøy is about one hour’s drive from Værnes Airport. There are trains running directly from Værnes to Røra; which is the closest train station to Inderøy.
The trains run between Trondheim and Steinkjer once every hour from Monday to Friday, and once every other hour on weekends.
